WYBOT

WYBOT B1, the lighter cordless scrubber

The WYBOT B1 is a light cordless robot with edge brushes, drain-crossing rollers, and an app, rated for pools up to about 1,150 square feet.

The B1 is the cordless pick for a smaller pool when you want edge brushes, an app, and a machine you can lift. It is not the pick for a large inground bowl. That job belongs to a longer-running robot.

What holds up

  • About 14 pounds, so daily retrieval is a one-person job
  • Rollers and side brushes are aimed at drains, seams, and edges
  • Five modes plus a one-hour quick cycle
  • App scheduling, which the SAT25 listing does not offer
  • A real review count, not a brand-new ASIN

What to doubt

  • 120 minutes and 1,150 square feet lose to the SAT25 and lose badly to Beatbot
  • Do not assume waterline scrubbing. This listing sells floor and wall coverage
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi habits on small robots are flaky at the water. Set the mode before it submerges
  • A light robot can still hang on a raised drain if the cover sticks up

Built for the awkward bits

WYBOT's pitch on the B1 is not maximum area. It is traction and edges. Bottom rollers are meant to cross drains, seams, and slopes. Dual front side brushes reach the margin a single intake misses. At 14.3 pounds it is in the same carry class as the corded Hydro 4, without the cable.

Runtime is up to 120 minutes, with a one-hour quick mode when you only need a refresh before guests. Five modes cover floor, walls, or combinations. The app handles schedules and firmware. Set that schedule on the deck. Radio through water is a coin flip, and fishing the robot out to change a mode defeats the point.

Where it loses

A 1,150 square foot ceiling is a 15-by-30-foot pool with some deck left over, not a big backyard lake. If your water surface is closer to 2,000 square feet, the SAT25's 180-minute and 2,150 square foot claims match the pool better, with the caveat that those claims are less proven in public reviews.

Corners still need the brushes to touch them. A robot that stops six inches short will leave a dune no matter how many modes it has. The corner guide explains the geometry. If your corners are the whole complaint, look at whether the B1's side brushes actually reach, and keep the basket empty so it does not ride high.

Questions before you buy

Will the WYBOT B1 clean the waterline?

The listing we verified sells floor and wall coverage with edge brushes. It does not lead with a waterline scrub the way the SAT25 and the AquaSense 2 do. Assume you still brush the tile unless a newer listing says otherwise.

Is it only for above-ground pools?

WYBOT lists it for above-ground pools and smaller inground pools, up to about 1,150 square feet. A large inground pool will run it out of battery before the far end is finished.
